What We Do

Out in Snohomish creates opportunities for LGBTQ+ folks and allies in the greater Snohomish area to connect, build friendships, and feel at home in their community. We host casual social events like coffee meetups, craft nights, and local outings, as well as highlight queer-friendly businesses and local resources. Our gatherings are intentionally low-pressure and welcoming, designed to make it easier to meet people, whether you’re new to town or have lived here all your life. Everything we do is rooted in joy, visibility, and a sense of belonging.

  • Out in Snohomish is open to anyone in the greater Snohomish area who identifies as LGBTQ+ or as an ally. Whether you’re newly out, long out, questioning, or simply looking to connect with others in a safe and welcoming space, you’re invited. We welcome people of all identities, backgrounds, and experiences who want to be part of building queer community right here in our small town and surrounding neighborhoods.

  • While our group is rooted in Snohomish and focused on building LGBTQ+ community here, we warmly welcome anyone from nearby towns who’s looking for connection. Whether you’re in Monroe, Lake Stevens, Everett, or another part of the region, you’re invited to join us. If you feel like Snohomish is part of your community, then so are you.

  • Most of our events are family-friendly and open to all ages, with a focus on creating welcoming spaces for everyone in the community. That said, some gatherings may be designed specifically for adults—like evening socials or 21+ venues. Each event listing will include details about who’s welcome, so be sure to check the description to see if it's a good fit for you and your family.

  • We love when folks RSVP through our website—it helps us plan and know how many people to expect. That said, most of our events are casual, and you’re welcome to just show up. Occasionally, we’ll host events with limited space where an RSVP is required, and we’ll clearly note that in the event description.

  • Yes! We love when community members bring fresh ideas or want to host something new. Whether it’s a casual meetup, a creative workshop, or something entirely different, we’re always open to suggestions.   • Every event is a little different, so be sure to check each event’s page to see if there’s a cost. We always try to keep things affordable and offer plenty of free or low-cost events so everyone can join in the fun!

  • This group isn’t connected to any specific organization or religion—we’re an independent community space open to everyone. While we aren’t officially affiliated with Snohomish Pride, we absolutely support and admire all the amazing work they do to celebrate and uplift our local LGBTQ+ community. We’re all about creating a welcoming, inclusive place for folks to connect, have fun, and feel at home.

  • Out in Snohomish isn’t a political group—we’re all about community, connection, and creating joyful, welcoming spaces for LGBTQ+ folks and allies to come together.
